Our Work
The National Student Council advocates for increased federal support for K–12 education, safer schools, and stronger student mental health resources. Our legislative agenda calls on Congress to uphold its commitment to public education by investing in programs that expand opportunity, promote equity, and ensure every student can learn in a healthy, supportive environment. Through this work, student leaders amplify the voices of their peers and shape policies that strengthen schools and communities across the nation.
